It’s a joyful, inspiring, and unifying event filled with moving songs and heartwarming animal stories, showcased by musician Joey McGee and author and priest “Padre” Bill Miller. This dynamic duo is traveling across the country with Mystic, the rescue dog, to raise awareness and funds for animal rescue shelters while fostering community engagement and togetherness in local areas to celebrate kindness and do good. The Howlelujah Tour has found hosts in churches, bookstores, animal shelters, breweries, pubs, and various community organizations throughout the United States. The Original Tour and its Inspiration
The inaugural Howlelujah Tour, ironically named The Last Howlelujah Tour, was inspired by a rescue dog from Kauai, Nawiliwili Nelson. Tragically, Wili was given only a few months to live when he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. His dad embarked on a road trip with his best friend to celebrate their profound bond and the limited time they had together.
Bill and Wili traveled an incredible 5,000 miles from their new home in New Orleans to Las Vegas and back, making 21 stops along the route (and sometimes taking detours!) to share inspiring dog stories, including their own and those of Wili’s “soul-brother” Sam, while raising funds and awareness for local animal rescue shelters throughout the southwest. During the tour, Wili became a local celebrity, gracing the front pages of many newspapers and drawing large crowds at every stop. He ultimately raised over $50,000 to support his animal friends, securing his legacy through the publication of The Last Howlelujah: Tails from the Trail. The Howlelujah Tour is lovingly dedicated to the memory of Nawiliwili 'Wili' Nelson, blending live music events with an essential mission of animal rescue advocacy.

Mystic was employed as a pig hunter but was not fond of hunting; in fact, he was quite fond of pigs. One day, he decided to quit without notice and ran off into the mystical Koke’e Forest in Waimea Canyon, which of

His work is deeply influenced by the places he has called home -- Louisiana, Pennsylvania, and Texas -- as well as his journeys across Asia, Central America, and the Middle East. These landscapes, both physical and cultural, infuse his poetry with a sense of movement, reflection, and discovery, bringing his music a soulful warmth and creative energy.
